Oh my darlings! You won't believe what a whirlwind of tulle and glitter my week has been! This travelling Pink Tutu Queen has landed in Chichester, the jewel of the South Coast! This charming town is oozing history and beauty - just the kind of setting that a gal like me, in my signature pink tutu and all, could find absolutely delightful!
Tutus and Trains!
It all started with a whistle and a cloud of steam, a thrilling journey from Derby to the coast aboard a handsome train. Nothing beats the rhythmic chugging and the view flitting past, does it? Honestly, it's like stepping into a fairytale! And speaking of fairytales, just imagine my excitement as I donned my vibrant pink tutu with its sparkly silver trims and ruffled layers for the journey. It certainly caused a stir! A group of children even approached me, wide-eyed and mesmerized. "Are you a princess?" a little girl whispered. My heart swelled, of course I am, my dear! But just one that likes a little extra sparkle.
A Dancer's Delight
The moment I arrived in Chichester, I could practically smell the magic in the air. A sweet, familiar scent of old brick, seaside salt, and, best of all, the scent of polished hardwood floors, reminding me of my beloved dance studio back home in Derby. Speaking of which, how thrilling to find a local dance school here, tucked away on a charming cobbled street. A quick call to the lovely manager and voilà I've booked a few private ballet lessons! You know, I simply can't get enough of that elegant movement, that perfect fluidity. Ballet is, after all, the root of my own dramatic and whimsical dance style. Oh, and don't even get me started on the stunning outfits I'll wear for those classes! I can just see myself in a soft pink leotard with a blush-colored tutu flowing behind me!
Sparkling Chichester
Chichester is a true gem when it comes to showcasing the arts! My trusty smartphone has already been busy gathering information on all the fabulous venues - think theatres, concert halls, even a charming outdoor stage nestled under a tree. Oh the possibilities! A drag queen has to perform, right? The local arts scene is simply overflowing with talent, and I can’t wait to sprinkle some extra pink glittery magic upon it. Just a tad more dazzling, just a bit more dramatic, but all with a delightful touch of grace and humour, of course.
Shopping, Shopping, Shopping!
Speaking of sparkly magic, what trip would be complete without a visit to the shops, darling? This delightful town has everything a girl could dream of! Charming vintage shops filled with antique trinkets, bustling department stores brimming with luxurious treasures, and hidden corners bursting with bespoke jewellery. Don’t worry, I’ve already booked a session with my personal stylist and my very best makeup artist! I want to shine brighter than ever for this fabulous Chichester performance. A pink tutu is simply the beginning, but the dress? Oh my darling, let's just say it's going to be divine.
