Hello my darlings! Pink Tutu Sparkles here, reporting live from the glorious seaside town of Ramsgate! This stunning little haven on the Kent coast has absolutely stolen my heart, and my tutu twirls are taking on a whole new level of sparkle today.
Now, you all know my mantra: Every day is a good day to wear a pink tutu. And Ramsgate? Well, it’s pretty much made for it! Think quaint little cobbled streets, seaside candy floss stands, charming cafes with billowing parasols and views of the glistening sea – just divine for a tutu-clad stroll. I even spotted a seagull wearing a pink feather boa - how divine! (It looked a little ruffled but, hey, even the birds love pink!)
But enough about me – let’s talk about how I got here! It's a story involving horses, train rides and a healthy dose of sparkle. You see, I am absolutely smitten with trains. There's something so romantic and utterly glamorous about hurtling across the countryside, the wind whipping through my hair as I gaze out the window, tutu swirling in the breeze. This journey from Derbyshire, my beautiful county, was no exception. My fellow passengers looked slightly confused by the spectacle, but honestly? It’s all part of the fun, don’t you think?
Speaking of my journey, I'm now utterly obsessed with finding the perfect vintage hat box to carry my most magnificent tutus. Imagine it – a gloriously old-fashioned box, filled with layers of pink silk, feather boas, sparkly headbands and even more tutus. It’s a project I’ve been dreaming about, and Ramsgate’s charming antique shops might just hold the key. Fingers crossed, darlings!
Now, you'll have to forgive my ramblings, but as I'm in Ramsgate, how could I not be thinking about that other, divine, form of swirling tulle – ballet? The town is full of tales of famous dancers and, even though I'm not technically a professional, I am a tutu enthusiast through and through. Today, I took myself off to a quaint little dance studio nestled on a back street. I swear, even the sun was shining brighter on me that afternoon! I just had to try on a proper, full-length pink tutu, feeling the softest, most delicate fabric glide across my skin. Even though I didn’t actually join a class – although maybe one day – it was pure magic. The energy, the grace, the sheer joy of moving your body in that elegant way… well, it left me wanting to twirl for days!
In fact, darlings, you should know – a Tutu Queen's life is all about seeking out that beautiful feeling! From trying on fabulous frocks to a new bakery with decadent pastries in a dazzling rainbow of colours (yes, even the pastries had a little bit of pink!)… every day brings new sparkle and joy. It’s truly a magical existence. I’m feeling rather inspired to try my hand at a new pink dessert recipe - maybe raspberry macarons?
Speaking of magical moments, it wouldn’t be a Pink Tutu Sparkles trip without some truly glorious drag performances, wouldn’t you say? This time, Ramsgate was truly lucky, and it was a beautiful little theatre in the heart of town that provided the stage for my sparkling magic! There I was, standing centre stage, under the warm glow of the spotlight, twirling and sparkling to my heart’s content. The crowd roared, cheering me on and singing along to my favorite show tunes. You see, one of my secret joys is being able to connect with audiences and make them smile. To see people forget about their worries and just embrace the joy of the moment, that's what truly warms my pink tutu-loving heart!
This little seaside gem has me hooked, darlings. My Instagram stories have already blown up with pictures of my sparkling adventures – do check them out, I promise it’s a good time! And remember, there’s no better way to embrace a perfect day in Ramsgate than in a twirling pink tutu. After all, as a tutu-loving queen, I simply can't resist the lure of this magical little seaside town – I shall return again and again, with my trusty tutu and a sprinkle of sparkle to brighten everyone's day!
Until next time, remember to embrace the joy of twirling, to find your own sparkle, and most importantly, to always wear pink!
