Letchworth: Tutu Tuesday takes over the town!
Oh, the joys of a Tuesday in Letchworth! For the uninitiated, every Tuesday, the lovely folk of this charming town gather to celebrate a fashion trend that brings pure joy – the magnificent tutu!
Now, I may be a bit biased, being a professional ballet dancer (yes, you guessed it – tutus are a major part of my life!). But, really, can you argue with a skirt made entirely of layers of tulle, bouncing with every twirl? It’s pure magic! And let’s face it, everyone has a bit of ballerina in them – even if it’s just for a Tuesday afternoon.
This week, #TutuTuesday was a fabulous affair. Letchworth seemed to be awash in pink, which happens to be my absolute favourite colour – pink tutus! They just scream disco ball and make me want to put on some Donna Summer and spin until I drop!
The real highlight? There was a little snail in the park – dressed in a tiny, perfectly pink, tutu! I swear, he winked at me! I even managed to get a selfie, so keep an eye out for it on my Instagram – #discosnail. You’ll have to trust me, it was the cutest thing ever! I mean, can you even imagine a snail with a wardrobe so fierce? We can only dream of a snail wardrobe – but imagine – sequined tutus, a teeny tiny top hat – the possibilities are endless!
