Oh my Tutu Tuesday in Frome, you were a dream! It felt like the whole town was twirling and glittering, and I was right in the thick of it. Frome is already known for its quirky charm, and this Tuesday just amplified that, transforming the High Street into a ballet-inspired wonderland.
There were so many different styles of tutus! Some were classic and elegant, like a princess from a fairytale. Others were sassy and modern, with sequins and sparkles galore. And then there were some seriously out there tutus, like one I saw with disco balls sewn onto it. It was absolutely fabulous!
But the thing that really blew me away was the atmosphere. The music pumping from every shop, the people smiling and laughing, it felt like a giant dance party. I even spotted a little girl wearing a tiny, fluffy pink tutu, doing pirouettes on the pavement! My heart just melted.
And who could forget the legendary disco snail? This glittery, sequin-encrusted masterpiece was the star of the show! I mean, how can you resist a disco snail with a tutu? I can't even explain it; it just made my day.
One of my favorite things about the whole day was seeing everyone getting into the spirit, regardless of their age. I saw a granny wearing a vibrant pink tutu and a young lad rocking a black tutu with neon green sparkles. The beauty of tutu Tuesday is that it brings everyone together,
But of course, the real highlight of the day was the Tutu Competition! I've gotta admit, I felt a bit out of my depth amongst such a talented group of twirlers. One lady even had a sparkly top hat that was almost taller than her, adorned with tiny little fairy lights. Now that's commitment! I almost thought she'd be the winner, but it ended up going to a young man who had an amazing white tutu that flowed beautifully in the breeze, reminding me of a majestic swan.
After the competition, the fun just continued! We had live music, stalls selling delicious treats, and everyone was just brimming with good vibes.
Overall, it was an absolutely magical day, #tututuesday. I already can't wait for the next one!
