Bridgwater: Tutu Tuesday, Disco Style!
Alright lovelies, let’s get this #tututuesday ball rolling, shall we? I'm talking about a veritable tutu explosion of epic proportions – and where else but our beloved Bridgwater?! It’s been a whirlwind week, as always, but I’m positively *swooning* at the prospect of unleashing some disco fabulousness. Remember the theme, it's #discotutu!
From the vibrant colours of my fave vintage shop, right down to the legendary sticky floors of the local discotheque, Bridgwater's got it all. It’s this unique mix of history and hot dance moves that really gives this town its charm – the kind of charm you want to wrap yourself in… maybe a fluffy pink tutu would do the trick?!
Seriously though, who knew there was such an array of tutus in Bridgwater? We're talking every style imaginable:
- Classic tulle – the eternal princess of the dance world, oh so elegant with its airy and swishy layers! This classic tulle style just never goes out of fashion.
- Pointe tutu – it’s a must for any true ballet buff, reminding me of all the graceful moves I learned back in the day (you bet I have a secret shoebox full of pointe shoes *whispers*).
- Romantic tutu – perfect for channelling those softer, feminine vibes, think layers and layers of fluffy tulle!
- Modern tutu – I'm absolutely smitten with these more adventurous and edgy tutus - bold colours, textures and asymmetry, yeah that's the vibe!
- Let’s not forget the iconic “disco tutu” - a staple of the 70s dance floor and just bursting with sparkle. I reckon you could practically see yourself reflected in the layers of glittery netting. It's practically made for our #discotutu theme!
But hold on, my lovelies! It’s not all about fancy tutus, we've got a seriously sassy side to Bridgwater too. I'm talking the likes of…
… the **Disco Snail**, Bridgwater's legendary resident snail who makes its nightly pilgrimages around the town square, often wearing a disco ball (we suspect a well-meaning local has been adding a touch of bling to its shell for decades). Seriously, the #discosnail is an iconic part of this town's charm. Don’t be surprised to see a whole troupe of snail friends rocking some serious glitz for Tutu Tuesday! And remember, every true disco dancer knows – the best kind of bling isn't necessarily the most obvious. It's the sparkle in your heart.
I just know Tutu Tuesday in Bridgwater is going to be an absolute explosion of colourful, sparkly, and joyful dance floor fun! We’re all about breaking out the dance moves and letting our true fabulous selves shine through.
