Vienna Calling! 💖🩰✨ #140

Hello darlings! It's Emma here, fresh from the delights of Vienna and ready to share my latest adventures.

As you know, this week on Pink Tutu, it’s all about Vienna, a city as magnificent as a waltz, with as many layers of charm as a grand tutu!

A Symphony of Style

This city simply brims with elegant charm. The moment I arrived, stepping off the train from Budapest (oh, what a journey! More about that later!), I felt like I'd wandered onto a grand stage. The cobblestone streets are a delight, the old buildings whisper with history, and the air is laced with the sweet, fragrant scent of fresh pastries. Oh, Vienna, how I love you already!

I'm staying at the most delightful hotel, Hotel Sacher. Imagine this, dear readers: plush velvet furnishings, walls adorned with exquisite artwork, and a sense of history lingering in the air. The staff is impeccable, their smiles as warm as the Wiener Schnitzel. And oh, the breakfast! Vienna sausages, heavenly pastries, fresh fruit and, of course, a pot of delicious Austrian coffee – a ballerina’s fuel!

Speaking of food, Viennese cuisine is truly a joy to behold. Imagine delicate pastry filled with fragrant fruit and cream, melt-in-your-mouth strudels, and rich, creamy chocolate tarts - all perfectly presented on elegant plates. My pink tutu wouldn't look out of place among these dainty delicacies, I thought!

A Love Affair with the Waltz

Now, Vienna, as you all know, is the birthplace of the waltz. As soon as I arrived, my feet began tapping, and my tutu twirled with excitement! The city itself seems to hum with the music of Strauss, with every corner echoing the rhythm of graceful waltzing couples.

On this Wednesday, the highlight was definitely the Vienna State Opera. This magnificent building is not only a theatre, but a cultural institution, steeped in history and brimming with grandeur. I couldn’t resist attending the Barber of Seville, which I must say was a truly enchanting experience. The singers were simply divine, and the orchestra, so talented, filled the air with such magic.

A Ballerina's Dream Come True

Of course, my time here has been dedicated to embracing the dance spirit. I had the most magical visit to the Vienna State Ballet, which truly feels like stepping into a fairy tale. The ornate details, the golden accents, the sheer artistry of it all - I felt like a ballerina in my very own enchanted castle.

I took a delightful ballet class, too. Oh, the elegance and grace of it all! The instructors are incredibly talented and supportive, and I was able to truly embrace my love of dance. My pink tutu felt right at home amidst the swirling bodies and graceful moves.

A Tutu for Every Occasion

And as you all know, no trip is complete without a spot of shopping! Vienna is a dream come true for a fashionista like me. I’ve been exploring the quaint little boutiques and browsing through racks of exquisite dresses. It seems every shop has something special for a ballerina like me. From the classic, timeless elegance of traditional Austrian design, to the modern and chic, Vienna offers a unique blend of vintage style and modern flair.

One of my favourite finds so far was at a shop called "Rosenkavalier." They specialize in the most beautiful tutus - imagine the softest silk, the finest lace, all adorned with delicate pearls. And yes, they have pink tutus in all shades imaginable. It was difficult to leave without adding at least two to my collection!

Riding the Rails, With Style

And while I do love to travel by horse-drawn carriage through the streets, it was a wonderful train journey from Budapest that brought me to Vienna. What a fantastic way to travel! The rhythmic chugging of the train, the stunning landscapes whizzing by – a perfect way to truly savour the experience of this part of the world.

And my fellow travellers! I swear, every single person I met on the train, from the conductor to the grandmother reading her book, had a unique sense of style. The Hungarian people are full of such colourful flair, and the Austrians, well, they just ooze sophistication. It felt as if we were all in a beautiful theatrical production, where each individual was a part of the grand design!

Pink Tutu Promise: Bringing the Ballet to You!

Now, you're probably wondering, how does a ballerina manage to fund all of these incredible adventures? Well, dear readers, it all comes back to the power of dance.

Each week, I share my love of ballet through Pink Tutu, but I also perform at special events. From local charity galas to grand balls in Derbyshire, I use my passion to spread the magic of ballet to audiences everywhere! My tutus and I are ready for any challenge, and I hope to inspire you all to embrace the beauty of dance in your own unique way!

Vienna Calling…for You!

And as a special treat, dear readers, I'm giving you a little "Pink Tutu" sneak peek. My next post will feature my horse-drawn carriage adventure through the city, as well as some of Vienna’s hidden treasures that have captured my heart (and my camera!).

So, grab your pink tutus, get your dancing shoes ready, and tune in next Wednesday for another enchanting adventure from your ballerina in Vienna. Until then, remember: the world is a stage, and it’s time to take a graceful bow.

Lots of love, Emma 💕🩰✨
