Vienna Calling! - #PinkTutuVienna, Post #281

Hello my darlings! It's Wednesday, which means it's time for a fresh #PinkTutuVienna post! Can you believe we're already in September? Where did summer go? It's certainly gone in a flash from sunny Derbyshire.

I've swapped the rolling hills of England for the majestic, regal beauty of Vienna, Austria. As always, I’m decked out in pink, my beloved tutu twirling alongside me, making this grand city a little bit more whimsical!

Now, you know I love a good train journey - there’s nothing like watching the world go by through a carriage window, my pink tutu billowing in the breeze. I journeyed to Vienna overnight, the moonbeams shining on the countryside. By the time I reached Vienna, my feet were practically tapping with excitement to explore. This city is buzzing with music and energy, you can feel the passion for art in the air.

I am currently staying in a beautiful hotel - the very chic "Grand Hotel Vienna", where the pink, and yes, I know, you’re thinking it!… my pink tutu was the absolute centrepiece of the foyer!

Before my big day exploring, I spent the morning visiting the Schönbrunn Palace - oh, my dears! This stunning building was once the home of the Habsburg monarchs - imagine, living like royalty in such a beautiful palace. It’s the kind of place that sparks fairytale dreams, the perfect backdrop to imagine the waltz music from The Sound of Music… and imagine what a magnificent stage this could be for a ballet! I saw all the grand staterooms - oh, to live here! Imagine being dressed in a fluffy pink tutu dancing around the beautiful palace gardens… such glamour, darling!

I loved seeing all the antique dolls they have on display. It reminds me that little girls always dream of twirling, ballet is so captivating for all ages, I guess I’m a little girl in a bigger body! The Schönbrunn Palace gardens were just beautiful, perfect for a photoshoot in my favourite shade of pink tutu, and, as if by magic, I bumped into a charming violinist in the gardens playing the most romantic music - I twirled along as I snapped some photos of him, naturally! He even gave me a rose - Vienna is a magical city! You really are never far from beauty here, just another reason why it has inspired some of the world’s greatest musicians and artists.

As always, a ballet show is a must, so this evening I'm heading to the Vienna State Opera, my pink tutu will make sure I stand out from the crowd! This historic opera house, is such a grand architectural feat and, of course, is full of history, making the magic of ballet even more powerful!

Tomorrow I’ll visit the Vienna Museum of Music, and if I have time, perhaps take a ballet class! But first, a nice spot of shopping in the gorgeous boutiques Vienna has to offer - I just need to find the perfect accessory to go with my pink tutu. A touch of something special… Vienna has the most divine clothing and antique shops! It's full of surprises. Maybe I will discover the perfect vintage pair of ballet shoes… or perhaps some lovely, whimsical jewelry! If only I had more suitcases, I would fill them up with such pretty items to inspire the ballet enthusiast at home!

That’s all for now, but check back next Wednesday for another #PinkTutuVienna update! If you’d like, drop me a message on www.pink-tutu.com I would love to hear your suggestions!

Bisous, Emma
