Hello, darling tutus! It's Wednesday, which means it's time for another dose of #PinkTutuVienna! As always, I'm back from another whirlwind week of ballet adventures and stylish discoveries, and oh, what a week it's been!
This week has been an absolute dream come true! Vienna, my darlings, truly is the city of music and dance, and I've been completely swept off my feet. You'll just have to forgive me if my blog post is overflowing with exclamation marks, because everything has been just so fabulous! 💖
This week's adventure started with a delightful train journey from Derbyshire. The rolling green hills and charming countryside views were the perfect way to get into a relaxed travelling mood. Of course, I couldn't resist wearing a perfectly pink outfit with a gorgeous tulle skirt, adding a touch of #PinkTutuVibes to the train carriage. 😊 I just love travelling by train! It feels so luxurious and allows me to indulge in my favourite hobby - people watching! There was even a little boy who kept pointing at my tutu with big, excited eyes! He even shouted, "Tutu!" and I gave him the biggest, brightest smile. 🥰 What a wonderful start to the day!
Arriving in Vienna, I was immediately charmed by the grandeur of the city. Majestic buildings, stunning architecture, and cobbled streets – every corner was picture perfect! I quickly discovered that Vienna is home to some of the most exquisite dance studios, and I had to sign myself up for a class. My legs are already aching from all the plies and jetés, but it was worth it for the pure joy of twirling in the middle of such a beautiful city. Oh, and did I mention the view? It was simply breath-taking!
The next morning, I was completely spoilt by a glorious ballet performance at the Vienna State Opera. The ‘Swan Lake’ was truly exquisite! It was an absolutely breathtaking masterpiece! The costumes, the dancers, the set designs - everything was flawless. I must say, the corps de ballet dancers looked truly magnificent. They danced with such precision, grace, and elegance. I've been inspired! I'm going to incorporate some of their movements into my ballet class next week.
Speaking of ballet class, I'm totally obsessed with Vienna's ballet scene. It's a true haven for dance enthusiasts. From historical theatres with incredible performances, to vibrant studios offering a diverse range of classes, Vienna offers a beautiful tapestry of dance traditions. I just love soaking up all the inspiration from this truly magical city.
After the opera, I indulged in a little Viennese fashion. This city has such beautiful boutiques and charming shops, it's like a ballerina's dream come true! I treated myself to a gorgeous silk scarf in a soft pastel pink, and, of course, couldn't leave without another tutu. This one, my dears, is just perfect. It’s a gorgeous light pink and the soft, shimmering material adds such a glamorous touch. It’s truly going to be my go-to tutu for all my summer outings!
No trip to Vienna would be complete without experiencing their legendary coffee culture! There's nothing like settling down in a cosy Viennese café with a perfectly brewed cappuccino. The atmosphere was truly magical, with the sound of laughter, chatter and classical music playing in the background. I took my time to relax and reflect on my incredible journey so far.
Of course, my travels wouldn't be complete without experiencing some of Vienna's iconic attractions! The majestic Schönbrunn Palace with its beautiful gardens, the historic St. Stephen's Cathedral, the breathtaking view from the top of the Vienna Ferris Wheel... It was like stepping into a fairytale. And, you won't be surprised to hear that my favourite spot was definitely the Schönbrunn Palace Gardens! Imagine: sunshine, a whimsical pink tutu, and all that fresh air, with stunning views around every corner!
As my Viennese adventure draws to a close, I can't help but feel a pang of sadness leaving this extraordinary city. Vienna has truly stolen my heart. It's such a vibrant, enchanting, and romantic city! And the perfect location for ballet lovers like me to explore.
But, alas, my time here has come to an end. As the sun sets over the city, and the lights of Vienna twinkle on, it’s time for me to pack my tutu bags and head to my next stop! But you can be sure I'll be back. Vienna, you are forever etched in my memory, a cherished destination that I'll carry with me wherever my adventures take me.
