This week, I've swapped the cobbled streets of Derbyshire for the magnificent grandeur of Vienna, a city that practically oozes elegance and charm. I can't wait to share my Viennese escapade with you!
The Journey to Vienna - A Train and Horse-Drawn Carriage Adventure!
I have to confess, getting to Vienna was half the fun! My journey involved a scenic train ride, a rather romantic carriage ride pulled by a stunning, black horse through the heart of Vienna, and of course, plenty of time for admiring the breathtaking countryside views. As the carriage jostled along the cobblestone streets, I couldn't help but feel transported back to the romantic era of waltz and opera, perfectly complemented by my twirly, blush-pink tutu.
A Viennese Waltz Through Time
I landed in Vienna on a crisp autumn day, the air crisp with the scent of freshly baked strudel and a touch of autumn leaves. The moment I stepped out of the carriage, I felt like I had stepped straight into a waltz. Vienna's iconic buildings, each one a piece of architectural artistry, felt like they were designed for dancing, for spinning and twirling in a perfectly choreographed embrace with a handsome gentleman (a cheeky fantasy, I know!).
A Whirlwind Tour - From Schonbrunn to the Opera
My Viennese itinerary is packed with enchanting experiences. First stop - the grand Schonbrunn Palace, the former summer residence of the Habsburg emperors and empresses! I spent hours exploring its lavish interiors, marvelling at the delicate decorations, and indulging in daydreams about waltzing through its grand halls. Of course, I couldn't resist taking a few twirls in the gorgeous palace gardens.
After my palatial wanderings, I set my sights on the heart of Vienna’s musical spirit: the Vienna State Opera House. The mere thought of stepping inside this hallowed hall made my heart flutter like a ballerina’s dress on a pirouette. I’ve always had a weakness for the beautiful opulence of opera houses, and Vienna State Opera didn't disappoint!

Of course, Vienna isn’t just about waltzes and ballerinas! It's a fashionista's paradise! I've already started my shopping adventures in the heart of Vienna's stylish boutiques. I’m hoping to find some unique pieces that reflect the charm and elegance of Vienna, perfect for my pink tutu wardrobe!
