Vienna Calling: A Tutu-tastic Adventure!

#PinkTutuVienna #Post487

Greetings, darlings! Emma here, your resident tutu enthusiast, reporting live from the glorious city of Vienna! I've arrived in style, of course, sporting my very favourite pink tulle masterpiece (more about it later!).

This week marks my first foray into the heart of Europe. Vienna, a city that pulses with history and culture, was the perfect choice for a sartorial adventure. My week here has been a whirlwind of tutus, tunes, and a dash of Viennese charm, all squeezed into my pink travel suitcase, naturally!

Riding in Style: A Horse-Drawn Carriage

Right from the get-go, Vienna greeted me with open arms - and horses! My journey from the station involved a magnificent horse-drawn carriage ride through the city centre. I felt like I was stepping out of a fairy tale, my tulle swirling around me as we traversed the cobblestone streets. Let’s just say I made quite the spectacle! 😉

An Ode to Pink at The Opera

After unpacking (and, of course, giving my beloved tutus a good whirl!), I headed straight for the iconic Vienna State Opera House. I confess, the majestic building itself took my breath away! And the show? A sumptuous production of "La Traviata," full of romance, tragedy, and glorious music! My own pink tutu ensemble perfectly complemented the air of elegant grandeur, don’t you think?

Ballet at the Hofburg

Who can resist the lure of the Vienna State Ballet? I most certainly could not! This weekend, I'm going to see a performance of “Swan Lake” at the Hofburg Palace, nestled within the very heart of Vienna. You just can’t beat the romantic backdrop, and I have a feeling the dancing will be utterly divine! I shall of course, be sporting a ballet pink tutu, in honour of the occasion. I just know my passion for all things ballet is going to be fuelled by this incredible performance!

The Sights of Vienna: A Pink Tour

Vienna is brimming with beautiful squares, majestic churches, and imperial palaces. Naturally, I've explored them all in style! My pink tutu, of course, is my trusty companion on all my explorations, from the grand Belvedere Palace, with its impressive baroque architecture, to the quirky museums and enchanting cafes of the city. Everywhere I went, my tutu created a wave of delight - and some bewildered smiles!

Vienna's Delectable Delights

Vienna's culinary scene is just as exciting as its culture! The streets are bursting with traditional coffeehouses and cafes, inviting me to indulge in their famous viennese pastries and decadent cakes. Let’s just say my figure is going to take a slight hit, but a few hours at ballet class will sort that out. My trip here would be incomplete without sampling the famous Viennese apple strudel – I may have indulged in a second helping. Just a tiny one though, of course. 😉

Fashionable Fun and Finding the Perfect Tulle

No visit to Vienna is complete without some serious shopping, and my wardrobe needs a good top-up with some stylish goodies to coordinate with my ever-growing collection of tutus. Vienna's shopping streets are a dream, with designer boutiques, charming vintage stores, and a vibrant selection of independent fashion designers. I am on the hunt for the perfect blush pink tulle for a new design idea that has been simmering in my head since I was last at ballet class. Maybe the inspiration for a brand new creation is here! I have an appointment with the oldest fabric shop in Vienna, it’s said to be the best for sourcing gorgeous vintage lace, silk, and of course, tulle.

Taking Time for Myself

As much as I love sightseeing and exploring, a little relaxation is essential for any tutu-wearing diva! My perfect day? A leisurely stroll through the Schönbrunn Gardens, a relaxing sauna session in a traditional spa, and a dose of delicious Viennese culture. I've found a delightful cafe overlooking the Vienna woods, it’s the perfect spot to relax, write my blog, and sip on a pot of delicious herbal tea! It’s time to let the world pass by in a peaceful bubble while I ponder the day’s sartorial choices and upcoming ballet classes. I may even plan some extra classes at one of the ballet schools in Vienna!

A Tutu-ful Ending: Taking My Adventures Further

My Vienna adventure has only just begun! I’ve got plans to visit the charming countryside surrounding Vienna. Horse-riding through the countryside will be the perfect opportunity to bring my new collection of tutus. After all, what's more fabulous than a horse, a tutu and a whole lot of pink! And who knows? Maybe I'll even be inspired to incorporate my love for horses into a tutu design? Watch this space!

Spread the Pink, my lovelies!
