Pink Tutu Vienna: Post #488 - Waltz Me Away!

Hello, darling dears! It's Wednesday, which means it's time for another Pink Tutu Vienna blog post! This week has been an absolute whirl of tutus, train rides, and of course, the most gorgeous pink outfit I've ever laid eyes on - more on that later!

This week I’m continuing my explorations of Vienna, a city so bursting with history, culture, and yes, a dash of decadence, that it's simply impossible to resist its charms! You’d be right in thinking it's my favourite place so far - so full of lovely little boutiques and museums and cobbled streets – this city makes a tutu twirl even more delightful!

The Pink Tutu Vienna motto? "Live, love, and dance in a tutu, darlings!" (Maybe I should put that on a little T-shirt…)

Anyway, where was I? Ah yes, Vienna! I'm staying in a beautiful little guesthouse just around the corner from the State Opera House. Did I tell you I saw a ballet here on Saturday? A sumptuous production of "La Bayadère" with such magnificent costumes, gorgeous set design, and a dazzling lead dancer. Honestly, it was simply breath-taking!

I know what you're thinking… What on earth did Emma wear to the ballet? I just had to wear my new Pink Ballet Tulle Tutu with the Peach Satin Ruffle Skirt and matching Pink Crystal Headband. As a seasoned ballet tutu enthusiast, I consider myself something of an expert. The tutu itself is simply a work of art. Every single layer of tulle, each delicate bead… it's pure, unadulterated loveliness, and when the stage lights hit it, well, let’s just say I made the entire audience gasp! It's all about bringing a little pink magic, don't you agree, my lovelies?

And you wouldn't believe my latest find… just yesterday, while wandering through the Naschmarkt, the most charming street market overflowing with colour, I stumbled upon a vintage boutique tucked away between stalls brimming with exotic spices and fragrant cheeses. It was just a narrow, unassuming shop but what I found inside nearly made me faint with joy… the most gorgeous pink velvet coat!

With its scalloped edges, dramatic collar, and a colour that was positively radiant, it was begging to be mine. Now, let's just say I wasn’t disappointed. I snagged it immediately, paired it with my Pink Floral Blouse, a stunning Peach Silk Bow, and, naturally, my pinkest, twirliest tutu for a shopping afternoon like no other! It's going to be the highlight of my wardrobe for this trip!

Speaking of fashion… did you see the Pink Tutu Vienna Instagram post on Monday, my loves? It was me at the Schonbrunn Palace – that fabulous Habsburg palace, you know! There are 1,441 rooms, but they all blend into one pink bubble of gorgeousness with me in the Pink Organza Ballet Tutu, the Strawberry Silk Wrap, and the most beautiful Pink Bow Brooch.

After all, the true fashionista always makes a statement, no matter where they find themselves in the world. And my motto, you know - “If it’s not pink, it's wrong!”

After my palace adventures, my lovelies, it was time to venture into Vienna’s hidden corners! This led me, naturally, to Schottentor - you’d love it - all cobbles and quaint cafes with the scent of pastries lingering in the air… Just perfection!

That brings us back to the train, you see! You’ll have to believe me when I tell you, a Pink Tutu Vienna trip isn’t complete without a Pink Tutu Vienna train adventure. Today’s journey led me from Vienna, Austria, all the way to Bratislava, Slovakia, a truly picturesque adventure on board one of their charming little vintage trains! I love trains… it allows one to soak up the scenery. Plus, it gives me a chance to strike a pose, you know? I did manage to sneak in a few Pink Tutu Vienna photo ops, of course!

The journey itself was magical. Vienna, with its stately architecture and historic streets, simply slipped away… replaced by Slovakia’s countryside beauty! Imagine fields of vibrant poppies, lush forests and sparkling rivers, all whipped past me as I danced in my pinkest ballet skirt and the most fabulous pink velvet hat that I’d purchased in the Naschmarkt!

And Bratislava! A tiny jewel, packed with the cutest coffee shops and cafes! Don't be fooled by its size, though, darlings. It has so much to offer! The sights? Incredible! From the Bratislava Castle to the Old Town with its lovely squares and vibrant shopping – the architecture is just stunning! And the atmosphere... simply delightful.

As you may have already figured, my dearest lovelies, shopping was a necessity, and Bratislava is overflowing with lovely boutiques bursting with chic pink items that even the most devoted Pink Tutu Vienna devotee couldn't resist.

So what was on my Bratislava shopping list? Well, a Pink Polka-Dot Blouse and a lovely Fuchsia-Silk Scarf, to be sure! I've already incorporated those into my latest outfits – my darlings, a girl can never have too much pink.

Before heading back to Vienna – another Pink Tutu Vienna train adventure in my most eye-catching, pink-tulle outfit, of course, with my Pink Satin Ballet Shoes (gotta keep my feet in the dancing mood), and the cutest little pink handbag that I managed to snag at a vintage market ( I love shopping and getting bargains)!

Speaking of pink! It’s the color of love, laughter, and yes, Pink Tutu Vienna! And so my little bit of pink ballet magic continues... I love seeing my dear lovelies twirling with me in their pinkest tutu! So tell me, my dears… have you danced in pink this week?

Until next week!

Your beloved,

Emma xx
