Pink Tutu Vienna - Post #560: Waltz in Vienna with a Pink Tutu

Hello my darlings!

It's Wednesday again, which means it's time for another Pink Tutu Vienna blog post! I'm back in Vienna, my darling, after a whirlwind trip across the Austrian countryside. This week, however, I’m here to tell you about the utterly divine ballet performance I caught on Sunday. You’ll never guess where… in the heart of the beautiful Hofburg Palace itself!

Let's get down to the nitty-gritty of it all. This week's ballet performance, in case you were wondering, was at the Hofburg Orangerie. Imagine a breathtaking, ornate venue within the royal palace, drenched in sunlight pouring in through ornate windows. Add in a beautiful stage decorated with floral motifs and graceful lines, and you have the perfect backdrop for a performance. To make it even better, it was a classical ballet that was utterly captivating.

Of course, I'm not just about the ballet itself. You know me better than that! The joy of any ballet outing, aside from the beautiful performance itself, lies in the opportunity to showcase your very own, personal flair. For this ballet performance, I chose to wear a stunning tulle pink tutu paired with a silky pink blouse with lace detailing. To match my girly aesthetic, I opted for delicate pearl jewellery, the epitome of elegance and sophistication, wouldn’t you say? And of course, no outfit is complete without a splash of pink!

But first, darling, I've got to talk about my travels to Vienna this time.

Vienna, you see, is truly a city of culture, where you can embrace your inner fashionista as easily as you can indulge in classical music, history, and all things glamorous. And who better to take you on a tour of this magical city than your Pink Tutu Queen, Emma, your Derbyshire girl with a flair for the fabulous.

Now, this journey, unlike my last one, had a decidedly different feel. You see, darling, I traveled from Budapest by train this time. I took a beautiful vintage carriage class on the night train. Oh, it was a pure treat! So very nostalgic, so quintessentially romantic. I can picture it now – dimmed lighting, plush velvet seats, and the gentle rocking motion of the carriage, as we snaked our way through the Hungarian and Austrian countryside. It felt just like being whisked away into one of those lovely fairytale romances. It almost made me long to be back in my Derbyshire childhood, riding horses through the green pastures of my youth.

And speaking of romantic fairytales, darling, what could be more romantic than the Hofburg Palace itself? I mean, it's literally the fairytale castle that makes you feel like a princess. Its walls have witnessed countless royal processions and momentous historical events – everything from the Imperial Court’s golden era to the downfall of the Austro-Hungarian Empire!

Oh, I did indulge in some delicious food too, darling! This trip to Vienna really satisfied my love for all things gourmet. Vienna truly is the culinary heart of Europe! From the quintessential Wiener Schnitzel and delectable pastries at Konditorei Oberlaa to traditional Viennese coffee at Cafe Sacher, I indulged in every culinary experience imaginable!

The beauty of travel, as I always say, is about embracing each location for what it has to offer. I have truly come to enjoy all of these experiences, and for me, nothing quite compares to that magical, ethereal experience that comes with dancing and waltzing around the stunning Hofburg Palace in a pink tutu!

As always, I must be going for now! You know how much I love the life of a ballerina - I'm already back to rehearsals. But I do hope to be back with you again next Wednesday, darlings, to chat about some more fun fashion finds and the amazing performances I'll be catching. I’ll let you in on a little secret… I’ll be hitting the theater circuit hard in the next few weeks, so do look forward to hearing about my adventures and maybe some tips for choosing a tutu that looks best with theatre outfits!

Stay fabulous and be sure to check out the www.pink-tutu.com website!

Much love, Emma xxx
