Pink Tutu Vienna: Post No. 767 - Whirlwind Wednesday in the City of Dreams!

Hello darlings! It's Wednesday again, and you know what that means – a fresh Pink Tutu Vienna post, ready to whisk you away on a delightful adventure through the streets and theatres of this magical city!

This week, my tutu-clad feet have been busy treading the cobblestones of Vienna, taking in the vibrant energy of this European gem. I have to say, dear readers, my trip has already been absolutely divine.

It's a bit chilly, so I've been layering up – a beautiful dusky pink cashmere sweater with my favourite tulle tutu (it's a classic!), a delicate faux fur stole and a pair of sparkly ankle boots. My heart just sings when I feel a symphony of colours and textures come together like this!

Now, this post wouldn't be complete without sharing a little ballet news with you. You see, Vienna, my loves, is a true ballet heaven! There are countless renowned dance academies, world-famous performances, and of course, the magnificent Vienna State Opera, a stunning architectural masterpiece in its own right. I've already indulged in the delightful spectacle of "The Sleeping Beauty" and I must say, the costumes were simply heavenly, with layers of tulle and ribbons fluttering like butterflies!

But this week has been far from all ballet. I’m trying to balance my tutus with some serious sightseeing – which, by the way, is much easier than it sounds in Vienna! After all, what’s better than strolling down cobblestone streets past majestic buildings, each more opulent than the last? This week has seen me in the Hofburg Palace, the sprawling imperial residence – truly breathtaking! Then, there was Schönbrunn Palace, the stunning summer palace, with its lush gardens and intricate architecture, perfect for taking whimsical pictures in my new powder-blue tutu!

Speaking of whimsy, I discovered a little independent boutique nestled amongst the shops along the Graben, brimming with gorgeous fabrics. Oh my, the silk brocades and shimmering satins just made my heart skip a beat! It's just the kind of place that calls to my inner ballerina, where the fabrics practically dance on the shelves, yearning to be transformed into exquisite tutus. I snagged the most lovely piece of floral embroidered velvet – perfect for a new performance tutu, wouldn't you agree?

On Friday, I'm actually treating myself to a hot air balloon ride over the beautiful vineyards surrounding Vienna! Think of it: Me, in my signature pink tutu, drifting peacefully above the sprawling vineyards, the wind whispering through the tulle – sheer perfection!

As the day comes to a close, my dear readers, I'm feeling quite content, basking in the glow of a glorious day. I do hope that you are having a beautiful week filled with joyful adventures, just like mine! I must say, being a ballet dancer has gifted me so much. Travelling, seeing the world, wearing beautiful things – I couldn't be happier!

So, I leave you with this, my lovely readers: Live life in your own style, be bold, and never, ever be afraid to twirl! Oh, and don't forget to check in next week for another enchanting edition of Pink Tutu Vienna – where we'll be exploring the magical world of Vienna through a pink-tinted lens. Until next Wednesday, dear readers, take care!

With twirls and kisses,

Emma

P.S. Don't forget to check out my latest dance videos on my YouTube channel! I'll be posting a new routine every Wednesday, inspired by my travels and my love for all things ballet.

P.P.S I've been thinking about making a tutu out of that velvet I bought. Do you think a blue velvet tutu with floral embroidery would be beautiful? Tell me your thoughts on Instagram or Facebook!
