It's Wednesday, which means it's time for my weekly Pink Tutu Vienna blog post! This week, I've been twirling my way through the heart of Austria's enchanting capital - Vienna, the city of waltzes, music, and a whole lot of Pink Tutu magic!
I arrived yesterday on the Orient Express, feeling every bit like a fairytale princess with a glamorous vintage train journey that was straight out of a film! (It certainly made for some fabulously inspiring travel snaps - just wait till you see them on my Instagram later!)
A Symphony of Pink and a Ballet Boutique Bonanza!
You all know how much I adore pink and tutus - so it was practically a destiny calling me to the city of Strauss, Mozart and the Vienna State Opera! My love of ballet knows no bounds and Vienna is the ultimate haven for any tutu-wearing enthusiast. I spent the afternoon shopping till I dropped at a little boutique near the Hofburg Palace. It was a pure ballet heaven - gorgeous dancewear, vintage tutus, sparkly shoes - oh, the delights! I managed to resist buying every single item, although I must confess to giving in to a divine pink sequined tutu that sparkled with every graceful twirl. ( I think this might have been my best impulse buy ever!)
A Waltz at the Schönbrunn Palace: Royal Ballet Glamour!
This evening, I had the sheer pleasure of attending a beautiful ballet performance at the exquisite Schönbrunn Palace, Vienna’s imperial summer residence. The majestic setting and the magnificent ballet choreography had me completely entranced - a real princess's fairytale dream come true! I was transported by the story, the costumes, the exquisite choreography, and the sheer artistry of the performance. It truly was a night to remember. There were even little pink tulle tutus hanging in the gardens - the pink vibes are everywhere here, and it's totally fabulous!
Vienna Walks & Horse-Drawn Carriage Dreams:
Today, I'm going to explore some of Vienna’s famous sights - the Stephansdom, the Hofburg Palace and of course, a coffee break at one of Vienna’s famous traditional cafes (naturally with a little cake and pink bubbles, my favourite!) There’s just something so magical about Vienna's streets - they have that enchanting air of history, culture and elegance that draws me in completely. Later today, I'll take a romantic horse-drawn carriage ride through Vienna's cobbled streets. I’m envisioning the perfect picture postcard moment - with a little pink tutu, a charming carriage and the spectacular backdrop of Vienna! I’ll let you all know how it goes, darlings.
Fashion Focus - The Viennese Waltz with Pink
Now, no trip to Vienna is complete without incorporating the timeless Viennese waltz into your fashion agenda! The elegant elegance of the waltz calls for flowing gowns, graceful swirling skirts, and of course, a hint of Pink Tutu magic. I'll be channelling my inner ballerina with a soft pink dress that I paired with my new sequined tutu (can you tell I'm loving it?!) and a gorgeous pair of ballerina shoes. To add a little Vienna sparkle, I’ll finish it off with some delicate pink jewellery - a perfect waltz-worthy look!
