Pink Tutu Vienna: A Whirlwind Week in the City of Waltz! 🩰💖

Hello lovelies! It’s your favourite pink-loving, tutu-twirling Emma here, back with another installment from my dazzlingly delicious adventures! This week, I’m in the magnificent metropolis of Vienna, a city that sings with history, art, and of course, music!

This is my thirteenth blog post about this magical place – yes, that’s #1316 for all you dedicated Pink Tutu followers! You can always find me on Wednesdays at www.pink-tutu.com, bringing you all the glitz and glamour of my travels. I’m lucky enough to finance these adventures through the magic of dance, twirling my way through performances big and small, spreading the joy of ballet far and wide.

Vienna is definitely a city for dance, you guys! It’s practically in the air! Imagine being enveloped by the sounds of a Strauss waltz, your heart thumping along with the rhythmic grace of the music. The waltzes, of course, make perfect ballet material, but oh the joy of seeing all those lovely Viennese dresses! The historical costumes here have been my muse this week! I had a fantastic time strolling around the Imperial Palace and seeing the beautiful garments that were worn in its glorious days!

Vienna is a true hub for ballet lovers, it truly is! I found myself right at home surrounded by elegant performances and passionate crowds. I caught the most incredible performance of Swan Lake this weekend at the Vienna State Opera, oh my, the grace of the dancers, the haunting beauty of the music, it was just magical. And the costumes! Absolutely divine, the ballerina’s swan-inspired costume was perfection. So ethereal!

My dance adventures also led me to the charming Tanz Akademie Vienna, a beautiful ballet school tucked away in a peaceful little corner of the city. I couldn’t resist a few lessons. Learning the classic ballet steps in the same space that other talented dancers before me has been incredibly special. Their barre classes are quite intense, but with every movement, you feel the energy of generations of dancers! And it gives me the perfect excuse to buy another pink tutu! The wonderful ladies there encouraged me to incorporate the colour into my outfits. Who knew that pink and dance history could work so well together?

However, this week wasn't all about the beautiful dance! You know how much I adore a little retail therapy. I can’t resist a shopping spree. Vienna has so many exquisite boutiques with a true Viennese feel. It's such a perfect combination of old world charm and modern trends. From beautiful silk scarves to stunning hand-crafted jewellery, I was totally smitten with it all. It reminded me a little of my own little shop back home in Derbyshire – only far more grand! And I picked up some stunning accessories for my next show – something a bit gothic and elegant to give my pink tutus an added edge. The fashionistas of Vienna just know how to do things, you know!

Of course, what would a visit to Vienna be without savoring the culinary delights of the city? I indulged in the most divine cakes, filled with the richest of cream and the most decadent of chocolate. Oh, the wonders of Austrian pastry, simply irresistible! You have to try the Sachertorte – I just finished it all with a nice cuppa!

Speaking of delightful indulgences, you guys know I’m a sucker for a good carriage ride, don’t you? I had the most wonderful time cruising around the streets, soaking up the scenery, the warm breeze caressing my face, it truly felt like a fairy tale. Imagine a beautiful pink tutu against the stunning Vienna backdrop, with the clip-clop of hooves and a delightful, old fashioned horse carriage! A vision of elegance! You just can’t beat a traditional Viennese carriage ride!

But of course, my travels aren’t just about fashion and pastries – I am a huge fan of historical sites and exploring everything the city has to offer! The grandeur of St. Stephen's Cathedral with its intricate details took my breath away. This was another place with beautiful, ornate, historical costumes, with an air of grandeur!

As my trip winds down, I'm feeling completely charmed by this extraordinary city. Vienna is filled with so much history, culture, and of course, beautiful clothes! I just love how this city embraces all things artistic, from the breathtaking architecture to the magical music to the beautiful ballet. And don't even get me started on the pink outfits – Vienna's the kind of place that really encourages me to express myself!

So until next week, darling! Keep spreading the love of ballet, wear your pink tutus loud and proud, and remember, we are all dancing on the same stage! And just like a beautiful dance performance, it's about much more than just the steps; it's about sharing your joy with the world! I'm signing off for now, but you can always find me right here next week, my lovelies!

Much Love, Emma xx
