Hello darlings! It’s your favourite pink tutu-clad ballerina, Emma, reporting live from the vibrant, beautiful city of Vienna. This week has been an absolute dream! I arrived in style, of course, on a sleek Austrian train. Something about the rhythmic sway of the carriages just makes me want to twirl. And who knows, perhaps that elegant rhythm was the inspiration for the beautiful waltzes Vienna is famous for?

A Touch of Magic: Ballet at the Vienna State Opera

On Tuesday, I had the pleasure of experiencing one of the most exquisite performances of my life at the Vienna State Opera. The atmosphere was pure magic! The building itself, with its intricate details and imposing architecture, transports you back to a time of grandeur and artistry. This week they're performing Swan Lake, and as the curtain rose on the shimmering, otherworldly set and the beautiful dancers took to the stage, I felt like I had stepped into a fairytale.

Of course, as a tutu enthusiast, I couldn't resist spending some time admiring the stunning costumes. They were absolutely magnificent – so elaborate and with such intricate details. It truly was a visual feast for the eyes!

Discovering Tutu History: A Trip to the Theater Museum

I am obsessed with all things ballet, and tutus have a special place in my heart. The ballet dancers of the Vienna State Opera had some pretty special tutus too, so I had to find out more about their history. Thankfully, Vienna's incredible Theater Museum held the key! It has an astounding collection of ballet costumes from various eras. Imagine – seeing the intricate needlework on a tutu worn in the 18th century, or the stunning fabrics used in a tutu from the golden age of ballet. It was simply breathtaking!

Fashion Finds and Viennese Chic

It’s impossible to be in a city as glamorous as Vienna and not indulge in some fabulous shopping. Let's just say my suitcases were bursting with gorgeous vintage finds and stylish new pieces – all inspired by the beautiful architecture, art and fashion that I have been experiencing! I'll be sharing all my favourites in my upcoming post, so stay tuned, my dears!

A Ride Through Time: A Day at the Spanish Riding School

A trip to Vienna simply wouldn't be complete without experiencing the awe-inspiring spectacle of the Spanish Riding School. The graceful white Lipizzaner horses are simply mesmerizing! To see these beautiful creatures move with such fluidity, control, and grace - all under the trained hands of these incredible horsemen - it's simply extraordinary! Their performances are more than a ballet, they are an art form of its own. Imagine the connection these incredible animals and riders share.

Pink Power in the City of Music

Vienna has a vibrant, passionate spirit. And just like every city I've been to, there's a group of people who get the pink tutu vision. You know, my ultimate mission? To get everyone around the world twirling in pink! It was exhilarating seeing groups of friends enjoying Vienna’s cafe culture, and guess what? One of them had on a vibrant pink tutu!

Vienna, you’ve captured my heart. This city of art, culture, and captivating history is everything I imagined and so much more! From the elegance of the ballet and the grandeur of the Opera to the charming cafe culture, I'm leaving Vienna inspired and buzzing with ideas for future pink tutu adventures. Keep checking in, my dears. There’s so much more to share!

Until next Wednesday, twirl on!

Love, Emma
