Good morning, my darling tutulettes! 🩰💕
The sun is shining gloriously here in Vienna, and I'm already feeling the Vienna waltz in my heart! You wouldn't believe how excited I am about this week's adventure. I've had my sights set on Vienna for ages, ever since I saw that gorgeous shot of the State Opera House - a veritable temple of classical art. This city just whispers of waltzing waltzes, waltzing through elegant squares and magnificent palaces in shimmering gowns, with perhaps a grand ball to crown the whole experience. And you know me, a pink tutu and a waltzing good time go hand in hand!
This week, I'm going full "Sound of Music" in Vienna, my loves! Imagine a beautiful city full of charm, buzzing with musical life, overflowing with delicious pastries (and trust me, I've already devoured more strudels than I care to count!), and bathed in sunshine. It’s pure magic!
My Journey: Train, Then Horses!
I started my journey on Monday, hopping on a train from Munich, feeling like a modern-day fairy tale heroine in my latest pink tutu (I know, I know, it's hard to resist!) The train ride was a dream, like travelling through a landscape painted by Monet. We snaked our way past rolling fields, picture-perfect villages, and lush forests, and with each clickety-clack of the tracks, I felt more and more enchanted.
I reached Vienna late afternoon, a bustling, joyous place bursting with energy. And for a true fairytale touch, I jumped into a fiaker (a traditional horse-drawn carriage). Imagine me, swirling in my pink tutu, feeling the wind in my hair as the handsome horse trotted me through the charming old town. It felt like something out of a fairy tale, a pink tutu-clad fairy in the heart of Vienna.
Fashion Fling! 🛍️✨
Vienna, you've stolen my fashion heart already! I haven't even been shopping long, and I've already found a vintage dress that's begging me to take it home (a vibrant magenta, of course! Who else?). This city is overflowing with vintage boutiques, designer shops, and even little street stalls selling adorable trinkets and colourful scarves - I just can't resist them all! The vibe is all about vintage charm, bohemian chic, and just a touch of that grand Viennese elegance. You've got to find the right balance - there's a fine line between opulent and stuffy - and darling, I'm walking it perfectly!
My Viennese Adventures So Far...
1. The Schönbrunn Palace: Oh my, this palace! A fairy tale in real life! With those breathtaking gardens and regal rooms, every step feels like a dream. I waltzed through the halls, twirled on the manicured lawns, and even snapped some gorgeous pics in my tutu. Imagine me, a ballet-clad vision against the backdrop of history and grandeur! You bet I took some absolutely magical shots, and let me tell you, I'll be posting them to my Instagram for all my darling tutulettes to see!
2. The State Opera House: This was the main reason for my Vienna visit! This building, my dears, is an architectural masterpiece, adorned with marble and gilt, a perfect symbol of artistic grandeur. Tonight, I'm going to see “The Magic Flute" - you know, that famous Mozart opera. I've got my special dress all ready (it's pink, of course! ), and I can already imagine the dazzling costumes and captivating music that awaits. It’s going to be a truly unforgettable night, my darlings!
3. Coffee, Culture & Conversation! ☕🥐
My darling tutulettes, it’s all about the details! You know how much I love the finer things, so of course, a Viennese coffee and a sweet pastry is an absolute must. They say Vienna invented coffee culture, and let me tell you, they are living up to the hype! The cafés here are beautiful, steeped in history and oozing charm, like time capsules of old-world Vienna. I even got to meet a sweet little old lady at one of the local cafés, who told me stories about ballet in Vienna from years ago. I felt like I'd stepped into one of my favourite books, and of course, we had a splendid little conversation. It was a magical moment, darling.
To Do! (The Tutu Version, Naturally!):
Now for the really fun stuff! My darling tutulettes, you've got to know what's on my to-do list while I'm in this magnificent city!
The Spanish Riding School: Can you even imagine, my loves? The elegance of these noble Lipizzaner stallions, waltzing to a waltz in their beautiful surroundings, a symphony of elegance and grace. It's pure magic! And don't forget the tutu - how could I miss this iconic experience? I'm thinking maybe a shimmering pink one, fit for a fairytale!
The Vienna Philharmonic Orchestra: Of course, Vienna, the land of classical music, the place where waltz is king, requires an evening at the Vienna Philharmonic Orchestra. They are the most celebrated musicians, my dears, playing with exquisite artistry. My little pink tutu is definitely going to make an appearance at this iconic event, you bet!
Vienna in Bloom: Spring is bursting into full bloom here, with flower gardens at every corner. Can you even imagine how photogenic this city is?! Just picture it: me, twirling in my pink tutu amidst these magnificent floral displays - it's gonna be spectacular!

Vienna is truly a place where dreams come true, my darling tutulettes! I'm experiencing everything from romantic horse-drawn carriage rides to delicious coffee and strudels, while getting my daily dose of beauty and culture in this glorious city. This place has an incredible atmosphere - the energy of the past and the excitement of the future combined with breathtaking beauty. My heart is already yearning for my next trip here, but for now, I'll be busy making new memories and finding new inspiration, wearing my pink tutu of course.
