Dearest Tutu-ettes,
Hello from Vienna! It's Wednesday again, and as the snow falls outside, my heart is warmed by the magical aura of this beautiful city. It's always a joy to escape to the Continent, and even more so when I'm indulging in my two biggest loves – ballet and pink! (And, let's face it, who wouldn't love a waltz in Vienna? It's practically compulsory, darling!)
The Viennese Ballet Buzz
I've spent the past few days soaking up the ballet scene here in Vienna, and my goodness, the atmosphere is electrifying! I attended a breathtaking performance at the Vienna State Opera – a classic Swan Lake that had my toes tapping and my eyes welling up. I love how Vienna embraces ballet, it's not just a performance here, it's a way of life! The streets buzz with the excitement of rehearsals and performances, and it seems everyone knows a ballerina or two!
From Horses to Haute Couture: Vienna's Charm
It wouldn't be a Vienna escapade without some carriage rides, wouldn't you say? This city truly embraces its fairytale past. There’s something incredibly magical about tinkling bells, horses' hooves gently hitting the cobbled streets, and the majestic architecture surrounding you. The best bit? You can feel the echoes of royalty and grand dances – a true treat for a tutu-obsessed blogger like me!
I've been shopping for my wardrobe of course – there's no way I could resist Vienna's incredible vintage stores. Imagine my delight at finding a collection of genuine, exquisite tutu's dating back to the 19th century! (I almost fainted with excitement, darling, but the shop owner kept the smelling salts close at hand – very considerate, I must say). I’ve got a whole new blog post coming soon on these precious discoveries – trust me, you'll be seeing some breathtaking pictures!
Vienna's Ballet History:
Oh, darling, how much history this city holds! I simply couldn’t resist visiting the Vienna State Opera’s museum. From tutus to the history of Vienna’s dance world, I got totally immersed. One of the highlights was discovering how much inspiration the famed Vienna Waltz has given ballet choreographers over the years. The dance itself is a whirlwind of emotions, which reflects perfectly on Vienna’s own history – a constant mix of joy, elegance, and historical significance.
Pink Tutus and Fashion Frenzy:
Of course, my trip wouldn't be complete without exploring Vienna’s fabulous fashion scene. From high-end boutiques on Kärntner Straße to quirky vintage shops tucked away in charming side streets, I'm always on the lookout for new pink additions to my tutu wardrobe! Let's be honest, nothing makes a ballet-inspired outfit complete like a touch of blush pink. Don't forget, I'll be posting pictures of my shopping finds on Instagram. Sharing the Tutu Love:
My little trip to Vienna is really helping me solidify my life goal: I want everyone to embrace the power of pink tutus. They’re not just for ballerinas; they’re for anyone who wants to tap into their inner ballerina – the part that’s whimsical, bold, and unafraid to twirl!
I’m inspired to help share this infectious joy with you all! So, don't be afraid to slip on your own pink tutu (or maybe a pair of sparkly shoes and a tulle skirt!) – it’s a great way to make every day a little bit more magical!
Until next Wednesday, twirl with joy!
Emma xoxo
