Pink Tutu Vienna: Post #1795 – A Whirlwind Waltz in Vienna, Darling! ?✨

Wednesday 26th September 2029, 10:05am Vienna, Austria.

Guten Morgen, my darling tutu twirlers! ? It's your favourite pink-loving, tutu-obsessed blogger back again, straight from the heart of Vienna! Oh, how I love this city! It's simply brimming with history, culture, and yes, you guessed it, absolutely beautiful shops!

As usual, my week kicked off with a ballet class in the most stunning studio you've ever seen. Imagine this – vaulted ceilings adorned with exquisite chandeliers, soft, blush-pink walls, and enough space to pirouette your heart out! The teacher, a rather charming, silver-haired gentleman, seemed to understand the tutu spirit like no one else. I mean, who else would teach you pliés while wearing a jaunty beret? The vibe was fabulous and my legs are feeling the burn in a wonderfully good way. ?

Speaking of the burn, let's talk food! Breakfast this morning was pure Vienna, darling. A delightful, fragrant Wiener Melange at a cute café tucked away in a charming alleyway, all surrounded by buildings with stories to tell. Honestly, this city is a symphony of beauty!

This evening, it's time to get my waltz on! Oh, how I love a good ball! A society ball in the opulent ballroom of the Hofburg Palace. Talk about a truly grand affair, with shimmering gowns and dashing gentlemen. Of course, my tutu had to make an appearance (in a glorious shade of hot pink, naturally!) I mean, can you imagine waltzing in anything else? Honestly, I can’t even!

The ballroom was breathtaking. Huge chandeliers that seemed to touch the vaulted ceiling, gleaming parquet flooring that practically shimmered with light, and every single person present exuding elegance and style.

While I'm not much of a "dance with the princes" kind of gal, I did make a friend in the most adorable little girl, no more than five years old, who wore the most dazzling little pink tutu and matching hair bow! She taught me a few waltzing steps, and oh my goodness, she was just pure, unadulterated joy! Just watching her whirl around with such delight made me want to join the local children's ballet academy. Now wouldn't that be a delightful way to spend an afternoon?

My trip to Vienna would not be complete without exploring some of the beautiful theatres here. I did some research and found out that there are no less than 11 theatres here, including the prestigious Vienna State Opera, known for its exceptional productions and phenomenal performances! My dream, of course, is to someday grace the stage of such a prestigious theatre in my very own dazzling tutu! It’s a dream I fully intend to make a reality.

While I can’t waltz through the Opera house quite yet, I did find myself enjoying a delightful theatrical performance last night. The piece was "The Merry Widow", an operetta about a rich, vivacious widow, a dashing but impoverished Baron, and their love story. Of course, the production wasn't complete without beautiful music, a lavish set design, and, dare I say, more pink tutus than you can shake a tiara at! There were even pink feathers incorporated in the design of the dresses for a truly whimsical and charming experience. And the entire play had me practically bursting at the seams with joy! I really am in my happy place in Vienna!

Now, wouldn't you like to know where I found my fabulous pink tutu for the ball, darling? Well, I had to embark on a grand, majestic journey of discovery through the backstreets of this exquisite city. My horse, a handsome chestnut with a mane like silk, pulled me along at a stately pace past charming shops and coffeehouses, their windows filled with delicious treats and mouthwatering delights. We even came across a market overflowing with fresh flowers! Their colours, darling! Such vibrancy and freshness.

Finally, I found the perfect shop for a pink tutu, nestled in a hidden corner on a street just off the bustling city centre. A quaint little shop, decorated with elegant floral patterns and filled with soft fabrics in every shade of pink imaginable! The shopkeeper, a lovely older lady with eyes that twinkled with genuine enthusiasm, told me the story of this special shop and how she dedicated her entire life to helping people find the perfect pink tutu.

I fell head over heels in love with the shop and purchased not one, but three beautiful pink tutus! (Who can resist pink when you have the chance to own it in multiple styles?!). One was a delicate, shimmering tulle tutu, another a bolder, full-bodied tutu that twirls beautifully, and my absolute favourite - a bright, vibrant pink tutu with an exquisite silver belt, perfect for an upcoming gala performance back in Derbyshire. The perfect finishing touches for any of these are, of course, my gorgeous tiara, handmade by the talented ladies at the 'Fairytale Jewellery' store and a pair of luxurious ballet slippers that are light and comfortable for a whole evening of waltzing!

The perfect pink outfit needs a perfect hair do and what could be better than a trip to a local salon! Oh, I'm not just talking any old salon! I found a gorgeous place named 'The Pink Parlour'. A quirky salon filled with vintage posters and mirrors reflecting all shades of pink. As the talented stylist worked her magic, transforming my hair into a sophisticated bun with sparkling pink highlights, we had the most delightful chat! She spoke about her passion for the art of hairdressing and her love for the bright colour pink. Her infectious passion really made my day and her skilled touch, gave me an amazing hairstyle. Now, if you ask me, you need pink highlights with a perfect pink tutu to achieve the true essence of Vienna glamour.

Talking about hair salons… I have a secret to share! I stumbled across a delightful new salon called "The Hair & More" just a stone's throw from my hotel. And what do you think they offered?! Yep, they actually have a special service for dressing your ballerina dolls, complete with pink tutus and accessories! I've gotta tell you, it was like finding a lost jewel in a dusty box! You know I immediately snatched up the most darling, elegant ballerina doll for my nephew, Thomas. After all, we have to spread the joy of tutus and twirling to every little darling! The lady at the shop was absolutely charming and said she could add his name to her database so that whenever she gets new styles, she’ll keep him in mind! How utterly charming!

Now darling, if you’ve made it this far you need to indulge in a moment of total luxury and decadence. Let me tell you about the absolutely sensational Chocolate Atelier I stumbled upon yesterday. I am a huge fan of everything chocolate (who isn’t!) so this hidden treasure became my instant favourite. They have these incredibly intricate chocolate sculptures - all sculpted by hand with such artistry! There was a majestic swan carved out of pure dark chocolate and a beautiful ballet dancer standing poised en pointe in milky white. The most astounding sight I’ve seen in ages! Oh darling, you must taste their pralines. I devoured them in seconds! You can imagine how they inspired me to indulge in a bit of dancing this morning, after a wonderful sleep of course.

Talking of sleeping, darling! Can I rave a little about the splendid Hotel Palais Auersperg where I am currently enjoying the finest amenities this magnificent city offers. From my gorgeous room, overlooking a tranquil garden, to the delicious breakfast served on beautiful antique silver trays, the entire experience is pure magic. Of course, there’s no denying that my wardrobe gets extra special attention from the lovely staff here! They seem to just instinctively know I’m going to need the full length mirror to photograph my magnificent pink tutu!

So darling, there you have it! Another whirlwind adventure in Vienna! You’ve heard it here first, Vienna is one of the best cities to find some exquisite and exquisite fashion items and enjoy delicious cuisine!

If you find yourself in the Austrian capital, don’t be afraid to indulge your sweet tooth at the Chocolate Atelier, be sure to pick up some lovely souvenirs at one of the beautiful boutiques I’ve discovered, or perhaps indulge in a ballet lesson to help inspire you, much like it did for me! I’m leaving you with a little ballet inspired quote for your journey “We do not stop playing because we grow old, we grow old because we stop playing.” – George Bernard Shaw. Enjoy the beautiful music in Vienna and embrace life with grace and wonder!

Until next week, my lovelies. Be sure to follow me at www.pink-tutu.com, where I’ll be posting all of my glamorous adventures, my pink fashion inspiration, and my insights on life, ballet, and all things delightful! Until next time, darlings!

Love and tutus!
